Erin Conley, TIMES2 Institute Director – Ms. Erin Conley has been in education for over 18 years. She has been a classroom teacher in public, charter, and magnet schools. From August 2014 – May 2017 she walked through the process of building an innovative magnet program from the ground up. This magnet program was recognized as National Magnet School of Excellence in 2016 and 2017.
In addition, in April 2017 it was recognized as a National Green Ribbon School. In order to accomplish these prestigious recognitions Ms. Conley collaboratively developed innovative curriculum and programs for health and wellness, STEM, environmental sciences, integrated technology, and students’ social emotional needs. She excelled in creating student centered learning targets, and developing assessments that were both qualitative and quantitative.
The development and successful implementation of these curriculums meant building numerous partnerships with local organizations; enlisting support of all stakeholders; aligning goals based on data; securing, attending, developing and facilitating high quality professional development opportunities for staff; and organizing school and community-wide events. She currently sits on the Community Pathway Advisory Council (CPAC) in Rhode Island, Rhode Island Environmental Educator Association (RIEEA) Environmental Literacy Advisory Council, Rhode Island Network of Science Instructional Leaders (RINSIL), and Rhode Island Science Educators Community Leadership Team. Erin is also a member of Partners for Philanthropic Planning of RI (PPPRI) and Rhode Island Science Teachers Association (RISTA).
Presently, she holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Bucknell University, a M.S. in Special Education from Southern Connecticut University, 30 credits and a certificate in Educational Leadership from Sacred Heart University, and is currently pursuing her Ed.D. at Northeastern University.
