Keith Oliveira
Executive Director
Keith Oliveira has served as Executive Director of TIMES 2 Academy since May 2023. He comes to TIMES 2 with broad experience as a public education administrator, policy advocate, and government official. Over his 30-year career, Mr. Oliveira has held several prominent leadership positions and is an experienced and respected voice within Rhode Island public education.
Prior to TIMES 2 , Mr. Oliveira served as executive director of the RI League Charter Schools, the leading charter school advocacy organization in Rhode Island. From 2011-2016, Mr. Oliveira served as President of the Providence School Board, presiding over Rhode Island’s largest school district. In 2011, he helped found the RI Nurses Institute (RINI) charter school and served as its Chief Operating Officer. He is the founding charter schools coordinator at the RI Department of Education (RIDE) and served within RIDE from 1999-2010. He is also a founder and has served on the board of The Met School since 1995.
