Pre-lottery applications are open for the 2024-2025 school year.

Thank you for your interest in our school. The application enrollment period for the 2024 -2025 school year has ended. If you received an acceptance, please contact Judy Genao to turn in the appropriate paperwork at 401-272-5094 ext.1006.

TIMES2 is partnered with RI Department of Education to provide a common application for all RI schools. For more information about this process, click here

EnrollRI offers two resources to begin the application process. The first is the Family Information Tool (FIT), accessible here. The second is the common application itself, accessible here.

How does it work?

Use the Family Information Tool (FIT) to find the school(s) that meets the performance, accessibility, and programmatic targets you are seeking. Next, use the EnrollRI Common Application to apply to any participating charter schools you are interested in and for which your child is eligible to attend. Participating charter schools will hold their 2024-2025 admissions lotteries on or after April 1 and will communicate your student’s enrollment status soon after that time.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Judy Genao at 401-272-5094 ext. 1006

What is EnrollRI?

EnrollRI was launched to ensure that access to Rhode Island Department of Education schools and programs remains easy, safe, and accessible for all families.

Learn more about EnrollRI participating programs for the 2024-2025 school year, and access program family information tools and resources at EnrollRI.org.

Enrollment in a charter public school is nonselective and conducted by random lottery. Participating charter schools will share a common application for the 2024-2025 school application process.

TIMES2 Academy is a charter public school, open to any student in grades kindergarten through 12 living in Providence, Rhode Island. By RI law and regulations from the RI Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, students are admitted by lottery.

For kindergarten, the lottery determines the students for the upcoming school year. For grades 1-12, it determines the wait list pool for the upcoming year. In order to participate in the lottery, an application must be completed online on the EnrollRI website.

Students must be residents of Providence, and 5 years old as of September 1st to enter Kindergarten. Parents must provide birth certificates of the applicant to be considered for enrollment.

Admission Timeline

We are partnered with the Rhode Island Department of Education to allow for an easier and more streamlined application process. Applications are open November 14 and will close on March 14.

The lottery will run on April 1.

Acceptance Process

Once a family has been accepted to TIMES2 Academy, we will send an acceptance letter and required admissions forms will be mailed to students immediately following the lottery. Families are required to return completed forms and documentation within 15 days to confirm acceptance.

Along with completed form, families need to submit the following documents: a copy of birth certificate, current utility bill (dated within 30 days), school record, and special education records such as IEP or 504 documentation. If families do not provide the required documentation within this time, the space may be given to ne next eligible student on the waiting list.

Waiting List

Students who apply to the school are not successful in gaining enrolment through the lottery are placed on a wait list in the order in which they were drawn during the lottery. Any family that is on the waitlist when the new enrollment year begins is encouraged to reapply. A new lottery is conducted on a yearly basis; it is not carried over from year to year.
